Electro Chemical Devices, Inc. was started by Larry and Marie Berger in 1975 to serve a process industry requiring innovative technology. They started the design and manufacture of the first analytical TWO-WIRE transmitter. Parallel products were developed, one being a a handy trouble shooting device for line powered and two wire process transmitters - and the other being a combination of portable pH/ORP meter and calibrator introduces as an OEM product, as was the first pH transmitters.
This approach allows technological parity. We continue to enjoy the patented status of "the only company with an automatically re-configurable, redundant, two-channel intelligent system". If one electro-chemical sensing device falls outside of the pre-set expected operation parameters, it defers to the second sensor calibrated for the same expected measurement values.
